Australia
Australia is never short of attention. Since hosting a hugely successful Olympic Games in 2000, tourists have been keen to discover all of Australia’s many attractions, while the country has managed to position itself as a friendly, dynamic, imaginative and stable place to do business through a series of promotional campaigns.
Having looked to Europe and the US for decades to promote trade, Australia has since turned its attention to Asia. Positioned at the bottom (or top!) of the Pacific Rim, Australia’s main trading partners today include Japan and China and the country offers future investors a politically stable base for conducting business activities in Asia.
Important industries in Australia include wine production, telecommunications, automotive, steel, and media/publishing. Sydney offers visitors an exciting, bustling and cosmopolitan city experience, with many cultural attractions as well as housing regional headquarters for many of the country’s leading companies and multinationals.
