Belgium

Belgium is perhaps best known as a centre for the brewing industry as well as one of the headquarter cities for the European Union’s institutions. Located just a short flight or ferry ride from the UK, and with excellent links to Germany, Holland, Luxembourg & France, Belgium makes a superb base for exploring some of the most influential and successful European economies, together with their diverse and fascinating histories.

In its own right, Belgium has seen relative success since becoming a member, and the centre for the EU. Belgian GDP per capita ranks among the continent’s highest, due in part to its excellent infrastructure of ports, canals, railways and roads as well as its central geographic location and a highly skilled, multilingual, and productive work force.

Belgium’s main trading partners are Germany, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States and Spain.
