On December 11th 2001, China joined the WTO and an economic revolution was launched. Since that time, businesses the world over have been trying to find ways to take advantage of China’s 1 billion person market, low labor costs, and its new market-friendly policies. Foreign companies have poured into China’s cities, and its rapidly-expanding development and investment zones. The pace of change is unlike anything seen before. With steel prices soaring, the cost of manufacturing plummeting, words such as “outsourcing”, “off shoring” and “globalization” have become part of our daily lexicon.
