At ISP we never forget the privileged position we occupy – having enjoyed opportunities to attend excellent schools, learn from prominent professors and business leaders and to travel the world. A love of education and a commitment to furthering the quality of education is central to our mission and is a value and a passion the entire company shares.

In 2008, ISP was proud to partner with Rozmaryna, a Czech-based charity which promotes education and professional advancement for disadvantaged children. The children and young adults Rozmaryna supports have grown up in children’s homes throughout the Czech Republic. These homes are often over-crowded and under-funded. Children frequently grow up to develop social adjustment problems, feel alienated from social norms and find it almost impossible to go on from high school to develop normal lives – going on to college or university, finding a regular job, learning life skills – for many they miss out on these crucial elements of adolescent development.

Working with Rozmaryna, ISP has raised money to support the opening of a restaurant and gallery in central Prague which will be run and managed by some of the young adults from the children’s homes that Rozmaryna supports. The café will train the young adults to run and manage a small business as well as teach them service skills ranging from work in the kitchen or as wait-staff to procurement, customer service skills, basic finance and cash flow management, marketing, promotion and PR.

Rozmaryna is a Czech registered charity which is also supported by firms such as Vodafone, Linklaters, the Tereza Maxova Foundation. For more information on Rozmaryna and how you can help ISP support this unique initiative, please contact Zuzana Smith at smith@studyprograms.com
