The Art of a Dynamic Program:
Undergraduate Case Study in Brazil
CLIENT:
Rochester Institute of Technology
ASSIGNMENT:
8-day Study Program to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil | May 11th -18th, 2025
10 Undergraduate students + 2 faculty members
CLIENT BRIEF:
The goal of this trip was to provide students with an immersive international experience centered on art, architecture, and technology, while also incorporating meaningful cultural exploration. The program was designed to support faculty-led academics and expose students to how these disciplines intersect within a global context. In addition, the trip prioritized must-see cultural landmarks and experiences that allowed students to engage with the destination beyond the classroom.
Our Approach:
This trip was unique to the destination for two main reasons: 1) the academic theme was art, architecture and technology and 2) the faculty requested to leverage some of their own contacts in the destination before continuing their trip to Brasilia.
Through a flexible approach, strong faculty collaboration and thoughtful cultural planning, this program delivered a well-rounded and immersive educational experience in Brazil.
#1: Flexibility is Guaranteed
As our trips are 100% customizable, our clients are able to request anything they’d like, especially in terms of academics. In this case, after discussions with the faculty, we learned they had contacts in Rio de Janeiro and wanted to visit them and asked us to help with the other aspects, such as lodging, logistics, cultural events, among others. Our team was able to take this request and build a unique itinerary around the requested academics.
#2: Supporting Faculty-led Academics
While the academic content was led by faculty and their local contacts in Rio de Janeiro, our role was to support and enhance those engagements. We coordinated schedules, transportation and accommodations around academic commitments, ensuring that each visit fit seamlessly into the broader itinerary. This allowed faculty to focus on teaching and relationship-building while we handled the operational details.
#3: Delivering Seamless Experiences
A key component of every successful academic program is cultural immersion. While academics form the foundation of the trip, culturally rich experiences are equally important in helping students understand the destination in context. With this in mind, our team focused on creating a seamless balance between scheduled academic commitments and meaningful cultural exploration.
We ensured students visited all of Rio’s most iconic landmarks, including Christ the Redeemer, a cable car ride up Sugarloaf Mountain, an afternoon at Copacabana Beach and of course, a tour of the city. These moments not only showcase the city’s natural beauty and cultural identity but also allowed students to engage with the destination beyond the classroom.
Please note that this example is drawn from our portfolio to illustrate our capabilities. Every program and project we deliver is fully customized, with each element tailored to align with your unique goals and objectives.

It thrives on paradoxes: exporting both software and soy, fintech and fashion, diplomacy and football. Its power lies in pluralism. When here, you’ll meet with individuals and businesses who will give you insights into Brazil’s position as a continental anchor and a global power in transition. From the Amazon to the G20, explore how Brazil balances growth, diplomacy and purpose — and what its “à la carte” worldview means for business and sustainability.”
