In Udaipur and Jhadol, take part in hands-on service projects that support education and community development, creating lasting connections and impact. Along the way, engage in Batik workshops and spend time with Adivasi communities, deepening your understanding of India’s diverse traditions and social landscapes.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in New Delhi and after settling into the hotel, receive an orientation about the upcoming schedule. The day concludes with a welcome dinner, where participants get a taste of traditional Indian cuisine, connecting with fellow travelers and embracing the rich culinary heritage.

Day 2

Explore New Delhi’s iconic landmarks, including the majestic Red Fort and Jama Masjid. Experience the bustling streets of Old Delhi with a rickshaw tour and visit the vibrant Chandni Chowk market. These cultural experiences offer a deeper appreciation for Delhi’s history, architecture, and lively urban atmosphere.

Day 3

Engage in selfless service at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, helping in the langar (community kitchen), where meals are served to people from all walks of life. This meaningful experience introduces you to Sikh values of equality and compassion. In the afternoon, fly to Udaipur and enjoy a group dinner at the hotel.

Day 4

Discover the charm of Udaipur with a heritage walk through its narrow lanes, local markets, and the grand City Palace. Take a serene boat ride on Lake Pichola, followed by a folk dance performance at Bagore Ki Haveli. Cap off the evening with a rooftop dinner overlooking the beautiful lake.

Day 5

Learn the intricate art of Batik in a hands-on workshop, where you’ll practice traditional fabric dyeing techniques. In the afternoon, visit a local school run by a community-based NGO, where you’ll gain insight into the educational and development initiatives in the region, setting the stage for upcoming service activities.

Day 6

Spend the morning participating in community service. Later, visit an Adivasi village, where you’ll experience tribal life, sustainable farming practices, and traditional music and dance, offering a deeper connection to rural traditions and indigenous cultures.

Day 7

Continue your service work in the morning. In the afternoon, reflect on how to create lasting impact through sustainable initiatives that promote local empowerment, focusing on the balance between immediate needs and long-term solutions.

Day 8

Carry on with your community service, working alongside local staff on projects that foster growth and collaboration. Reflect on the ethical aspects of volunteering, considering how to empower communities without overshadowing their autonomy.

Day 9

Dedicate more time to service, helping develop projects that contribute to the community’s needs. In the afternoon, visit a bustling local market to explore traditional crafts, interact with artisans, and understand the cultural significance behind the items. End the day with a farewell dinner and a lively traditional dance performance.

Day 10

Enjoy a relaxing morning before checking out of the hotel. After a final group lunch, take some time to reflect on the trip’s impact before heading to Udaipur airport. The journey concludes with newfound perspectives and an enriched understanding of global citizenship and the value of community engagement.
