Kuala Lumpur

2027 EMBA Cambridge Judge Business School to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

March 14th - March 20th, 2027

From the manufacturing hubs along the U.S. border to the Caribbean coast, Mexico is a country of contrasts, underpinned by a diversified economy and a cultural legacy shaped by Indigenous, European and global influences. Even as the country benefits from its role in regional and global supply chains, longstanding socio-economic challenges persist.

A strongly collectivist and traditionally male-dominated culture, coupled with pronounced inequalities in power and wealth, can pose challenges for foreign investors and expatriate managers. Nevertheless, Mexico City is a vibrant, compelling destination for executives seeking new perspectives on how geopolitical shifts and power dynamics shape business across the region.

Traveling to Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, skyline, Petronas Towers

This overview highlights key planning considerations, visa requirements, economic information, logistics, cultural experiences, safety considerations and more for traveling in Malaysia. Here, we’ll cover practical tips based on our expertise to help ensure a smooth and enriching experience.

Our commitment to a greener program

We’re committed to making practical, more sustainable choices throughout the Cambridge University program in Kuala Lumpur, from how information is shared to the partners and accommodation we select.

Digital First
Program information, itineraries, updates and key travel resources will be available through the Travel Zone app, reducing the need for printed materials and giving participants one digital source for information throughout their stay.

Sustainability-Conscious Hotel Selection
We commit to making sustainability part of our hotel selection. All three proposed hotels were assessed on their environmental practices, with EQ Kuala Lumpur ranking strongest overall through its location within the GBI Gold-rated Equatorial Plaza. Grand Hyatt also demonstrates strong operational sustainability practices, while JW Marriott tracks and reports environmental performance.

Greener Program Delivery
Beyond accommodation, we will work with our local partners to omit single-use plastics and prioritise electric or lower-emission group transportation, while continuing to identify practical opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of the program.

A Tree for Every Speaker

To recognise the people who share their time and expertise with the students, we will plant a tree in honour of each guest speaker as part of this program. This continues International Study Programs’ established tree-planting initiative, through which more than 2,000 trees have already been planted, creating a lasting and more sustainable way to say thank you.
